Frequently asked questions:
- What
is polyurea?
It is a two-component coating material, sprayed with equipment which heats it and mixes the material
right at the spray gun. It is widely used in bed liners.
- How fast does it dry?
Many polyurea products will dry to the touch in 20 seconds,
allow foot traffic in 2 hours, and reach full cure in 24 hours.
- Can I get custom colors?
Yes. Formulations of polyurea are available
which can be color-matched and will remain color-fast. Note that lighter colors in less expensive formulations will yellow
over time.
- Is it mobile?
Yes. OTN can provide excellent surface preparation and coating application at your facility and/or jobsite or at our
own Blast and Paint Complex.
- Is
it chemical resistant?
Polyurea has good chemical resistance, comparable to other epoxy coatings. With the addition
of a performance topcoat, resistance to a wide range of acids, caustics, fuels, etc. is achievable.
