Blast & Paint Shop
OTN’s Blast & Paint Shop specializes in media blasting & coating services for a broad spectrum of clients: industrial, military, government, research, marine, commercial and residential. The size of our facility and diversity of equipment enables the operation of many different projects simultaneously, & Shop Crews operate 24/7 when our client’s schedules dictate. Quality, Service and Safety are Shop standards and the Shop Estimators /Project Managers deliver years of experience and expertise to our clients, many of whom have become valued loyal customers.
OTN's Blast & Paint Shop delivers clients the following resources:
- Two 1,500 square foot blast bays
- Three environmentally controlled spray booths
- 13,000 square feet of prep, mask and drying area
- Detailed testing techniques to assure that all specifications are met
- Lifts - a 3 ton JCB and 15 ton fork lift
- Flat bed truck rated at 11,000 GVW & trailers for pick-up & delivery
- When needed, large cranes are rented and/or carrier services hired to safely pick-up, produce & deliver large scale projects
Blast Media
The Blast & Paint Shop offers a variety of blast media and your Estimator will advise you on the best for your project. Surface prep, removal of coatings, rust or corrosion is accomplished through many different methods.
- Garnet Blasting – recyclable media that can lower the price of a larger project
- Sponge - available in different sizes for different surface profiles, this relatively new media is environmentally friendly, recyclable & produces a minimum of dust
- Diamond Blasting
- Alternative Blasting Media – Glass Bead, Walnut Shell and Baking Soda for less aggressive profile results
- Power Washing
Specialty Coatings and Finishes
Coatings range in complexity from priming to multiple coat systems, tank and pipe linings. Our clients benefit from the training the Shop Crews and Superintendent receive from industry experts as new products and application techniques evolve.
- Urethane Coatings for industrial equipment, steel & trailers
- Organic & Inorganic Zincs for priming industrial steel & for corrosive environments
- Epoxy Primers & Coatings
- Enamels – commonly used for finish coats on equipment
- Flourourethane – ultra weather protection for metallic finishes
